Garden M
Garden concept design Manchester, UK
The landscape design project for a family of four residing in Manchester (UK) involved transforming their existing rear garden into a multifunctional and visually appealing space spanning approximately 170m2.
The clients expressed a desire for a blend of functionality and aesthetics to accommodate both family relaxation and entertainment needs.
Key expectations included innovative solutions to address privacy, security, and access concerns, as well as incorporating greenery and varied foliage to enhance the garden's visual appeal.
Additionally, the clients sought creative approaches to minimize the visual impact of the garage while maximizing storage efficiency. Specific improvements included the creation of an enhanced patio space and the addition of an outdoor kitchen area.
Our design solution addressed the client's expectations and exceeded their vision for the garden. To enhance security, we placed a new gate with integrated planters and a small fountain.
We reconfigured the access points from the house to the garden, creating a unified landing with a large planter, seamlessly connecting the kitchen and dining areas. A stylish wooden cladding with a geometric pattern transformed the garage, while a covered pergola structure provided vertical greenery in the outdoor dining area.
The playground received an upgrade with bench seating and strategic planters, promoting family interaction. Accessibility was improved with a stone-paved pathway and atmospheric outdoor lighting throughout the garden. Our nature-inspired color palette, featuring light beige, wood, and accents of light and dark grey, tied the design together harmoniously, resulting in a garden that not only met but surpassed the client's expectations for functionality and aesthetics.
